The Quiet Achiever

Designed, in collaboration with Brad Ives and Evy Ben Resheph from Clean Voyages, for the general routes. The Design is laid out for sailing in all conditions. A Ketch Rig with Tall main mast and smaller mizzen and a hydrodynamic shaped rudder and keel provide for a versatile sail plan for all conditions and points of sail. A fairly narrow beam for reduced resistance and improved sea motions. Minimized accommodations and deckhouse provide better aerodynamic performance and reduces weather helm.

Exterior

DECK LAYOUT

The main deck features two deck hatches which give access to the Main and Forward Cargo holds. Forward of the cargo holds is a large Bosun store which houses the second generator and has space for storage of sail and other gear.

CARGO GEAR

The vessel is fitted with a single Derrick style crane with dedicated cargo boom which is powered by high speed hydraulic winches. A control console on the main deck provides line of sight and easy communication during cargo operations.

Accomodation

WHEELHOUSE

The wheelhouse is positioned on the Poopdeck which is raised from the main deck. The generous bridge is full width and has doors at the sides for easy access and communication during docking. Behind the bridge are the Captains Cabin and the Ships Office both accessible via the Bridge. At the back of the wheelhouse a combined toilet / shower unit can be found. Behind the Wheelhouse is the outdoor dining and recreation space. From this location the stairs in the wheelhouse lead to the Lower Deck.

ACCOMODATION

The Lower Deck features the following:

• a Large Galley with crew mess.
• 2 Passenger cabins (4 persons each)
• 1 Crew Cabin (6 persons)

A large Freezer and Cool room situated at the aft end of the accomodation. Below the deck is the Engine Room and the Steering Room which can be accessed via a hatch at the aft side of the accommodation.
