General Arrangement

In this weeks episode we explore the General Arrangement. This is the drawing which shows the layout of the boat and the styling. It illustrates what the boat will look like when built, where the compartments are, how the boat will be used and the location of the various components.
The General Arrangement takes the previously defined hull, sails and rigging, keel and rudders and adds onto that.
The watertight bulkheads and decks are added, The Cargo spaces, Storage and accomodation is defined and large items such as propeller and shaftline, anchoring and mooring are added to the model in Rhino3D.
Once the model is completed the 2D arrangement is generated based on the model.
